The Giant Sea Bass is also called with the names giant black sea bass and black sea bass. These belongs to the family of Polyprionidae and Genus Stereolepis.
The Giant Sea Bass are found in the lower rocky and sandy bottoms with depth approx. 150 feet. The habitat of these Giant Sea Bass ranges from California to the Gulf of California, Mexico and also in the Northwest Pacific Ocean.
The colour of the fish depends upon their growth like the younger ones are coloured orange with black dots. The adult fishes are bluish-black or dark grey with black spots while the underbellies remain in white. The structure of the fish is very robust with 7.45 feet and weights up to 563 pounds.
