Dall’s Porpoise is scientifically called as Phocoenoides Dalli; the fish belongs to the family Phocoenidae and genus Phocoenoides. These fishes have wide and a robust body with a comparatively tiny head. The habitat of Dall’s Porpoise belongs to the North Pacific i.e. from California to the Sea of Japan.
As a fact; the name of the fish is kept on iconic American naturalist W.H. Dall. These fishes grow up to 7.5 ft in length and weigh between 370 lbs and 490 lbs.
These fishes feed upon mesopelgic fish such as myctophids and gonatid squid along with other small organisms such as krill and shrimps.
